LIVE – Minibeast Hide-and-seek
12 March, 2024 @ 19:00 - 20:00
About this course:
In this course we will show childminders exactly how to lead a 20-min drama activity with small or large groups of preschool children – no props, costumes, or any previous drama experience required. Childminders will leave the session with the skills and knowledge to lead an exciting adventure with their children (and their mini-beast friends!) the very next day.
This session includes:
– Practical demonstrations delivered by a play expert
– The benefits of drama and imaginative play for all children, including those with ALN
– A powerful drama technique that can be easily incorporated into daily practice
– Easy ways to ignite children’s imagination and meet curriculum objectives
About your expert:
Pyjama Drama was first developed back in 2005 by drama teacher, Sarah Owen who now runs the company with her sister, Rachel McKenna, also an experienced teacher.
We educate young children through drama and imaginative play to develop their life skills. We offer award-winning drama and imaginative play training and resources for early years practitioners; classes, parties, and performances for children up to 7 years, and franchise opportunities.
UNICEF, UNESCO and WHO all list problem solving, critical thinking, communication, decision-making, creative thinking, interpersonal skills, self-awareness, empathy, coping with stress and dealing with emotions as the ten core life skills children need to lead happy, healthy, successful lives. Early years practitioners can learn how to use our techniques by taking a Pyjama Drama training course. You can see all these skills being developed at a Pyjama Drama class or at a party, or you can join the team and develop children’s life skills by becoming a Pyjama Drama teacher yourself.
